Rebuilding Lives, Restoring Hope
Cajun Hands is the long-term recovery division of the United Cajun Navy, providing skilled volunteers for debris removal, home repair, and community rebuilding efforts in the weeks and months after a disaster — when most relief organizations have already moved on.
Learn More →Why Support Us?
Distinct from traditional relief organizations, United Cajun Navy operates as a decentralized network of volunteers rather than a government entity or a large nonprofit with a hierarchical structure. This organizational model enables rapid mobilization and allows for adaptability in meeting the specific challenges presented by each disaster situation.
United Cajun Navy stands out as an exemplary 501(c)(3) because its volunteer-driven approach fosters quick action and flexibility, critical elements in disaster scenarios where time and resourcefulness are essential.

Testimonials
“When Baton Rouge flooded you guys brought baby formula to my great grandchild when my granddaughter could not get out to get it. For that reason, I pray for you guys every night. Thank you so much.”

“We live in a community in the mountains above the town of Black Mountain. Two years ago we were trapped in our house by two mudslides blocking the road out. First you packed in much needed supplies by mule train, then two days later you came with bulldozers and cleared away the mudslides so we could get down to Black Mountain. Things are still not back to what they were before the hurricane, but they are getting better every day. Many, many thanks to the Cajun Navy. I had never heard of you before the hurricane. Now I will never forget you and all that you did for so many of us. May God bless each one of you and keep you all safe.”
